About the Role Our client, a leading tertiary hospital in Gombe, Gombe, NG , is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join their dynamic Intensive Care Unit (ICU). Continuously monitor patients' physiological status using advanced monitoring equipment. Administer medications, intravenous fluids, and blood products as prescribed. Manage and operate life support systems, including ventilators and cardiac monitors. Perform advanced nursing procedures and interventions as required. Collaborate effectively with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient care. Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care plans. Educate patients and their families about conditions, treatments, and recovery processes. Document patient care activities accurately and thoroughly in electronic health records. Maintain a safe, clean, and organized environment for patient care. Respond to emergencies and cardiac arrests according to unit protocols. Participate in nursing research and quality improvement initiatives. Requirements Valid and current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Nigeria or equivalent. Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Registered Nurse, with at least 2 years in an ICU or critical care setting. Advanced certification in Critical Care Nursing (e.g., CCRN) is highly desirable. Proficiency in managing critically ill patients with various medical and surgical conditions. Strong skills in advanced cardiovascular life support (ACLS) and basic life support (BLS). Excellent critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities. Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills. Ability to remain calm and effective under pressure.
